Banoj’s works capture the quintessential urban city experience in a manner that is both whimsical yet insightful. His experience of moving from a small city to the megapolis of Delhi and the marked difference in the cityscapes has led to this series of works. Elements drawn from popular culture are intermingled with his skillful drawing and mastery of perspective. He employs the technique of collage to create these windows into urban life that are pensive and playful at the same time- the layering technique complementing the layered tropes.
